(All programs were completed at the University of Saskatchewan)

Martin Sacher is the program administrator for the Sunchild E-learning Community. His responsibilities involve managing the education and learning programs and staff of the Sunchild program. His duties also involve all operational aspects of the program related to finances, developing and managing technology programs and the innovation inherent in the E-Learning program.

Martin has been active in the field of education for over 20 years. 14 of these years have been as a high school principal in large public high schools. Since 1999, Martin acts as the educational program administrator for Sunchild First Nation.

Martin used his expertise in technology to complete his masters' degree, which specialized in the implementation of technology into applicable teaching strategies. It was Martin's work in utilizing technology as the principal of H.J.Cody high school that allowed then Alberta Minister of Education, Mr. Gary Mar to comment that H.J.Cody school in Sylvan Lake was a model that other schools implementing technology should follow.

While visiting Sunchild, Martin recognized quickly the need and challenge required to improve First Nation's education. It was here at Sunchild that Martin developed and implemented the successful Sunchild E-learning model now being sought after and supported by major industrial corporations.
