I was born in Argentina, in a ranch land area that bears many resemblances with Alberta's Foothills. There I attended school and later obtained my degrees in Chemistry and Biology. I speak both Spanish and French fluently.

After working a few years in biochemical research, first in Argentina, then at the University of Alberta, I became a Canadian in 1985. I have lived in Edmonton (3 years), in Saskatoon (nearly 12 years) and in BC (3 years), before moving to my present home near James River, Alberta, with my husband Paul and my daughter Sophie.

As to my career as a teacher, I received an Education degree from the University of Saskatchewan in 1991 and taught Science, French and Math at both elementary and secondary levels for several years. I began teaching in Alberta last year, at Sundre High School.

Something I particularly enjoyed while I was in Saskatchewan has been working as a Coordinator of the FSIN Science Camp Program. The program's goal was to increase the awareness and interest of First Nations youth toward science and science-related occupations. It was also lots of fun organizing and participating in hands-on activities during the school year and university-based summer camps with students from all parts of the province.

Besides of science, my interests include exploring new places and activities, especially when these allow me to learn something or to meet interesting people and cultures. I also enjoy hiking, horseback riding and camping in the mountains.

I am sure I will enjoy my new task of science teacher with the Sunchild Cyber School, and I look forward to get to know and to help many students eager to succeed in their science studies!
